This was taken last October 22, 2011. My "jowa" and I wanted to dine at Em's pasta. (Always take out, loved their baked spaghetti) At long last! I ordered baked lasagna and their pink shake. I never thought they got lot of shakes for only 40 pesos! Loved the color, for me it tastes so sweet but my guy loved the taste. (the next day, he got sick) So if you order this one, just be careful because you might get sore tonsil. Their pasta's the best! (still drooling while I'm typing this, lol)

Zamboanga Experience

I'll be leaving this Sunday. I am going to visit Zamboanga. It never crossed my mind that I'll be going to the southernmost part of Mindanao. It's kinda far from Davao,super far. Nevertheless, I'll be attending a 3-day seminar in Guidance Counseling. I guess, it's time for me to experience different culture. Need a break from the monotony of my work.

So from October 16-23, Zamboanga, here I come! On Monday, we plan to visit Dapitan and Dipolog. From the land of our national hero, Rizal. Fingers crossed, God please protect us from harm. Am little anxious about our 7 hours bus ride. And I need to learn their language.

With the help of Almighty, I know I'll be safe. I'll be posting pictures soon! (practice my skills in photography *wink*) Excited with mouth watering sea foods. For my pasalubong, Canned Sardines, Dried Fish and native items. I really want to buy "banig" the native mat. :-) I want to go shopping! LOL

Tonsilitis and Runny nose

I am sick today. I don’t know why. I just had mango-melon shake last time to beat the heat. After a while, my throat started to itch. Dang! Here we go again, I got tonsillitis. This has been my problem. Sweets then tonsillitis then colds. I dislike having to sneeze and runny nose.
Anyway, I want to share to you some of the literature I bumped into. It’s about tonsillitis and the cure. Read along.

CAUSES FOR TONSILLITIS:

• The commonest cause of tonsillitis is infection of the tonsils by micro-organisms. Certain bacteria (most common being the streptococcal group of bacteria), viruses, and allergens are known to produce tonsillitis. Allergens are usually in the form of certain food articles.
• Common food articles that can trigger tonsillitis are artificially1. Colored jeera sweets like jangery, globjamun, etc.2. Sour fruits, lemon, pineapple, grapes, oranges, etc.3. Bananas4. Preservatives added to certain drinks5. Cold food or drinks, ice- creams, etc.
• Environmental factors that may trigger an attack of tonsillitis are exposure to excessive cold weather, damp climate or change of weather. It must be borne in mind that bacteria and viruses tend to flourish in crowded areas and hence patients who are prone to tonsillitis can easily catch the infection in schools, parks, theatres, etc.
• All these factors contribute to lowering the immunity of the body and thus the tonsils got to infection by the micro-organisms.• Another causative factor that can be of importance in the diagnosis of recurrent tonsillitis or chronic tonsillitis is genetic tendency. Recurrent tonsillitis is frequent in patients whose parents have also suffered from the same condition during childhood or adolescence.
• Thus it is not just one, but multiple factors that combine together to lower the immunity of the body and this in turn causes recurrent and chronic tonsillitis in patients.

Complications of tonsillitis

Tonsillitis can lead to a number of complications, including:
• Chronic tonsillitis- infection of the tonsils which does not clear up; the person may go on feeling unwell and tired. • Secondary infections - the infection can spread to the nose, sinuses or ears.
• Glue ear (otitis media) in children - the adenoids are part of the same group of lymph nodes as tonsils. When the adenoids swell up (usually when the tonsils are also large), they can block the thin tube which goes from the back of the throat to the middle ear. This is the tube that you push air along when you ‘pop’ your ear. If this tube (eustacian tube) stays blocked most of the time, sticky fluid forms in the middle ear which interferes with hearing (a glue ear).
• Quinsy - if the infection spreads into the tissue around the tonsils an abscess in the throat can form, also known as a peri-tonsillar abscess. This causes severe pain and can interfere with swallowing and even breathing. (Halos magkasinglaki lang kami ng katawan, noh? hehehe) If you'll look closely, look at her talons, scary! If you stretch your arms, that's how wide her wing span was.

I enjoyed registering my address for free coupons and stuffs. Later, I realized I am getting letters I didn’t know, from insurance companies, credit cards and many more. In the beginning, I like opening letters and reading it. But then, I realized, it’s filling my trashcan with unwanted junk mail.

Spent Earth Hour for the 2nd time

How I love our Mother Earth! Participating to this kind of event is one way of showing my love. I wish we can do this every month, so we can save more energy and give less carbon. I am a fanatic of saving my little world, our Earth... I recycle, re-use things! I scold people who doesn't throw their trash properly, lol! One thing I have to learn is to segregate (Promise, I'll do my part)

I was at my Aunt's house (Well, oftentimes I spend my weekend there. Even if I didn't bring my necessities, after work, I rush to go there ). I like it when my little cousins are present. I love playing and sleeping inside an AC room, lol!

Here are some of our pictures...We stayed outside because it's hot inside, hahaha! I guess 1 hour wasn't enough, time really flies.We had fun playing fire (I mean candles, hehehe). Sorry wasn't able to catch the candle moment. :-)

My 1st Sea Dragon Ride @ Mary Rose Carnival

Lost my voice today because last night I had the scariest ride of my life! It’s my first time to ride the “sea dragon”, the big ship that swings back and forth (a Php50 ride)! Actually, I am not scared at first, but when the boat was at the peak of the swing then swinging down, you can feel your soul coming down too. My feet was shaking a little, making me stomp my feet to regain my senses. It’s my first time to shout my lungs out! I am shouting the whole time. I don’t care what would people say, I have to shout to let my fear out. I think I will not have that ride again. And it’s a practice ride for me, because I wanted to try the rides of Enchanted Kingdom or Star City or soon at Hong Kong (if makaya pa nako mushagit, hahaha)! I know that will make me puke, but, while young, I want to try something I can’t do when I am a retiree. I want to try stuffs, extreme stuffs to conquer my fears. Scuba diving or bungee jumping will be my next target. By the way, I love zip line! I want to do it again, longer and faster!
Maybe I will try the roller coaster or the octopus ride, if I have the guts. Thinking about it now makes my stomach burst. On the other hand, it feels good afterward. It makes you say that you are alive and this is life! Living a fun and happy life, positive stress coming in.

I believe I am having ulcer

I was sick for weeks now. I’m having this feverish feeling since February 12, 2011. Maybe because of the bad weather or I travelled far and slept late that time.
I am not sure if I have ulcer. I am having this headache, diarrhea and muscle pains. Perhaps because of the fast change of my body clock or skipping breakfast since college. I hope I’m not sick. I’ve researched some of the symptoms of ulcers to remind myself that I might possibly get it of I’ll not watch my diet. After reading some of the symptoms, I’m worried! I might have ulcer. God forbids!

Possible signs of an ulcer
• Feel better when you eat or drink and then worse 1 or 2 hours later (duodenal ulcer)
• Feel worse when you eat or drink (gastric ulcer)
• Stomach pain that wakes you up at night
• Feel full fast
• Heavy feeling, bloating, burning or dull pain in your stomach
• Vomiting
• Unexpected weight loss
Warning signs that your ulcer is getting worse

Back to my old job... Dream job...?

Well, I have a job. My old job. Yes, I’m back to my 1st and only job, I guess this will be my last. I don’t know if I already digested the fact right now. It seems that my mind’s floating… is this the right thing for me? I mean, there are options to choose but when an opportunity like this comes, it’s once in a lifetime. I prayed to God, with all my heart and soul, that He’d provide a job for me. I don’t know if this is the one I prayed for, well partially yes, this might be the one. Then maybe, my drive to look for a job isn’t good enough. (However I told myself, I have to have a job this year. as you all know, our business is down, needed to fill the scarcity of our livelihood)
Perhaps, I’m just lazy; that I have to finish my Thesis and stuffs, to meet the provisions as a guidance counselor. Well, to tell you honestly, being a school counselor entails great responsibility. I feel that I can’t carry that responsibility, I mean I want to explore the worldly stuffs (like going out at night, partying, enjoying the night, money, shopping and freedom); I’m still young, don’t want to spoil the moment. Anyway, responsibility that I have to act what I say. Let say, time management, I’m a night person; I’m generally awake at night and very sleepy in morning. Constantly, I remind students that they have to sleep early so they won’t be late in class, do their homework before the deadline, manage their leisure and study time etc…etc… in contrast, I’m always late. Huh! Maybe 20-30 minutes late, ok fine, maybe an hour. So now, thinking of wakin’ up early to prepare for the 7:30 time in, c’mon! ow Lord, please help me! If only I can change our time schedule. lol
Another thing, monotonous tasks I have to do everyday. But then, I realized, what the heck, all of jobs on earth are in routines, so why am I telling this one (stop it donut!). Definitely, it’s my fault, varying my tasks is the answer. Ow, easy for me to say. Actually, I’m fed up with the Facebook, but sometimes I need some updates and view pictures, lol. I’ll concentrate on my blogging, of course when I’m available and needed some break from the real world. In fact, typing my emotions can lighten my mood; it gives me freedom to speak my mind out, it’s like your being heard by the world.
Possibly the environment, no offense to my colleagues, what I’m trying to say is that, it’s my alma mater. Studying and working in one place is pretty dull, huh! But hey! I’m lucky to be part of a University! Nevertheless, if I can have the option to work on a different place, then that would be all right too. Truthfully, I’m thankful. Considering my know-how and my personality, I’m fortunate to have this chance. The pay is good too. But I’m not sure what I’m going to get now (because they’ve changed the policy)
What I like about this job? Certainly, my colleagues, my friends. I’ve adjusted to the environment well and have the liberty to do what you have to do (I mean, your time is in your hands, less pressure, more fun, no boss around, hahahha!) Although I can do whatever I want, I see to it that I carry out my tasks well, accomplished everyday. Sense of fulfillment is also there, when you’ve guided students from school to life. More often than not, students now tend to stay away from the office, I don’t know if it’s me or the guidance office notion or whatsoever. Now, I just remembered, it’s my high school dream to become one, living my dreams takes hard work and dedication. By the way, did I mention that yy guy is also teaching at the school, hahaha! But in different campus, he’s more excited that I am! I can finish what I’ve started, comprehensive exam and thesis writing (my guy actually offered to help me in research and writing)I’m thinking about my future. Both of us should be careful with our actions, we have to be a good role model.
This stage of my life is full of uncertainties, full of hope, full of desires, full of confusion, just full of everything… I’m turning 26 soon, focus, focus, focus. Anyway, I’m half glad and half scared at this moment. I am sure, if God didn’t say yes to my prayer request, maybe He wants to provide what’s best for me.
See what I mean? Whew! I guess I’m done! I have to try on my old uniform, I hope it fits! Uhuhuh…that’s another problem. I’ll give an update it does, fingers crossing. Ow, my dream of buying new shoes, it’ll turn into reality. Hahaha… (Word count, 821, this is kinda long…)

Groggy mood...

Every time I wake up these past few weeks, my bed is pulling me back. Maybe it’s the cold weather. I really wanted to have a deep sleep. But my body clock tells me to jump out of bed and go out… the moment I step out of the door, I yawn…yawn…and yawn… (While I’m typing this one, I’m yawning!) by the way, I have my dream blog. I didn’t have my first post yet, but I’ll post whatever dreams, while sleeping or dreams I want to fulfill. (thinking if I’ll make it private, for my eyes to read, ow, as if someone can find it online and bother to read it.lol)

Shopping and dreaming of stuffs to buy

Last night, I had a dream. I was with my guy looking for shoes. We went shopping! Even in my dreams, I am in high when I go out and shop, it goes to show how shopping makes me in blissful. In my dream, I felt so excited to look for shoes and cute shirts to buy. My guy was so tired (anyway, nothing’s changed, he’s always tired when he escorts me in my shopping spree), but I’m still in high spirit! I kept on walking, looking and trying shoes. My hands were full with shopping bags and I can’t wait to go home and try on everything. After that, I woke up smiling. I guess I am so excited to go out and enjoy window shopping, of course, it’s confirmed in my dreams. I can’t wait to find cheap nike soccer indoor shoes, I want to get sporty this 2011.

Anyway, there are many kitchen utensils and appliances I want to own. Aside from shoes, tops and bottoms window shopping, I like stop at the kitchenware department store, sometimes hardware store. It amuses me how technology helped our lives with assorted kitchen accessories in making our day-to-day living easy. You can make whatever you like at home, with the use of innovative gadgets. Make sparkling colas at home or yogurt ice cream; make sausages with the use of #32 plastic sausage stuffing tube and many do-it-yourself machines in stores.
Soon, in my kitchen, I want to buy pink stuffs, 1 quart plastic pitchers, glasses, plates, cups, saucers and many more. I would love to have that pink pitcher! Isn’t it so lovely?

I've been planting application letters and resumes all over the job searching sites... When am I going to harvest my crops? My dada told me, "don't pressure yourself...just wait."
Anyway, I thank sponsoredreviews.com for accepting my request. This blog was added on their list! Yeehaw! I need to finish another post. Thankfully, I can earn a little through my blogging.
I didn't accept any online writing job because they wanted me to write 30 posts a day, I think I can't do that. Another task is to re-write 50 articles a day. I've tried doing 5 articles a day, with only one topic, can't squeeze ideas in 4 hours! It took me 8 hours to make 5 articles (bear with me, I have to be a busgirl,waitress and a cashier at the same time)
Looking for a part time writing job, not a full time (brain toasted job). There's this one emploter, Mr. W, he already gave me different links, but hey! It seems like he's a scammer, I don't hear from him say that I'm hired. He just gave me the links and ask me if I'm done. No specific rules or feedback or whatsoever. (and to add, he's English grammar is bad too and he wanted me to write a perfect article. C'mon! )
I just realize, maybe a real job will work for me. No more sending applications to online jobs.

I received a reply from an employer today. Whew. I hope Mr. W can be as nice as Ms. A.

By the way, I received a special task from Ms. A today. That's why, when Mr. W sent me an email regarding my task, my brain is tired to work (tired of thinking,lol ). Luckily, I finished 1 task, and another 4 later. I need to be a superwoman now!

Weeee! Received another interview! I hope I can find a great opportunity online. And I hope I can find a real job ( still waiting for a call...). If only I pushed my luck working online the last past months, I might get a decent pay every week. I was so dependent on my blogging payouts (but since, I get to accumulate a hundred $ every 2-3 months, I thought it's a good pay... But considering my blogger friends' payout every week, mine is a BLAH! )

Fingers crossing (with my toes crossing too). I hope I can prove to myself that I can support my needs working online. Nevertheless, my dream of becoming a manager in HR is still present in my heart, I can juggle multiple priorities. (wink-wink ) I wish I can receive a call from BDO or Abreeza.

Applying online and applying as HR assistant--? which is which? I believe in God's time, He will provide whatever desires in my heart. I trust in Him.

Full Time Online Job is Great!

It seems like my mood is “bloggie”. I really like to write right now. Time check, it’s 1:02 am in my laptops’ clock. Haaa! I know I need to rest; I have to do some errands tomorrow.
Thinking about sleep but my mind is running.
Where on earth I can find a decent job? I mean, should I stick with online jobs? Deep in my heart, I want to find a good paying day job to help my family with our business; I badly needed this business to achieve something positive. However, fingers crossed! God planned something for us, for me, for our future. I can’t stick with full time online jobs, because if I’ll stick with it, my eyeglasses needed some upgrading, I am getting eye strain lately, help my mother with her business each day and do some online tasks (which I can’t do both, I would love to serve two gods at the same time, but can’t concentrate doing online jobs while serving people lunches), unsure if I can make my time zone US time (dili ko kalaag ani,hahaha... and eye bags), doubtful if this is long term (maybe if I’ll get married, I can stick with online jobs on the contrary I have to expand my horizon. Been dreaming of becoming a manager someday, you know what I mean, being the boss entails experience from the lowest position then going up), and limited people to encounter (I want to meet new friends, be with people sometimes). Wait, lastly, paying my very slow prepaid internet connection too (220 Php for 5 days)! (Globe Tattoo is not serving me well, that sometimes, I want to throw this flash drive modem device to find a network connection!!! Forgive me for my violent mood, I can’t help it. Hahaha...)
Anyway, it’s pretty late. My back is aching. (ow, include that…why full time online jobs is not for me yet) Please pray for my applications online (I hope I can hear from them, crossing fingers and toes! Bwahahahha!).

I don't know if online jobs are stable but it's helping me earn a little. And at the same time, I can still help my mother in her rising-falling food business. In God's time, her food business will soon be on top. Maybe, after a year of monetizing my blog, I will certainly look for a "real world job".

I am still confused if what's best for me. I need to save! I want to look for greener pastures outside our country. However, this is my home. I think I can still earn a decent living if I work hard and do some blogging.

Just few days ahead, it is PAYDAY! hahaha...
I have to buy some stuffs to the grocery and fill my cabinets with food, junks, necessities and everything i need. I have to buy deo, soap, shampoo and lotion. uhmmm..Pic-A my new fave junk from jack 'n jill (nova,tostillas and piatos in one pack). Yummy...and it costs like P34.50 at NCCC grocery stores. I don't know if GMALL or Victo is selling it. I hope so...
